A villa for 12 to 16 guests on Réunion

Large places are scarce, and they are the ones booked earliest. The catalogue has seven from twelve guests up: four in the west, one in Petite-Île, two in the Tampon highlands. Two reach fourteen, one alone goes to sixteen.

The west holds most of them: Boucan Canot, Saint-Gilles-les-Bains, La Possession, Saint-Paul. They are villas with pools, often with bedrooms on an upper floor. In Petite-Île, in the south, a twelve-guest villa completes the list. In Le Tampon, both places sit nearer the volcano than the sea, with a pool and similar capacity.

At full capacity the gaps narrow. A sixteen-guest villa at 286 € a night works out at 18 € per person. A fourteen-guest villa at 743 € costs 53, and an eight-guest villa at 670 € costs 84. Ranking by price per person has nothing to do with ranking by headline price.

A twelve-guest place does not automatically have four bathrooms. One eight-guest villa has just one, another with fourteen has four. Over a week with fifteen people, that detail sets the mood of every morning.
