Saint-Gilles-les-Bains, Boucan Canot, La Saline-les-Bains and Grand Fond all belong to the commune of Saint-Paul. The coast can be walked, but the atmosphere changes from one district to the next.
The area holds eleven catalogue listings, from the village of Saint-Gilles up to the heights of Saint-Gilles-les-Hauts. All face the same water, and none of them feel alike once you are inside.
The village and the port
The village walks well. The marina closes the western end, restaurants line up behind the beach, and the catalogue villas sit a few streets from the water. It is the most practical choice for anyone wanting to do everything without a car.
Boucan Canot
Boucan Canot sits just north, around its beach. The catalogue lists four villas there, two of them described as feet in the water and one with direct access to the sand. The district is more residential than the village, and quieter in the evening.
La Saline-les-Bains
La Saline continues the lagoon southwards. The catalogue holds one address there, a villa for eight at 501 € a night, in streets without pavements where the car still helps at mealtimes.

- Choose the village if the stay happens without a car.
- Prefer Boucan Canot to sleep near the sand without the centre's noise.
- Look at La Saline for a group, accepting the car for meals.
- Go up to the heights if the view matters more than walking to the beach.

Boucan Canot at night is the sound of waves and nothing else. Three nights without hearing a car.

La Saline is more residential: you need the car for dinner, but you are better placed for the lagoon.
